AKAITO cosplay: Black or White?..

As some of you may know, I've been planning on an Akaito cosplay for a while (although I kept a low profile on it until now XD). For those who are familiar with Akaito (or refer to my icon pic XD), he has a white+red coat and black+red coat version for his design (which just confuses me.. @_@)
I'm going to get the costume as soon as I decide on the color to cosplay, but it's such a hard decision... XD I thought the white version is the most well-known and it compliments with Kaito's white coat well (not to mention, I ended up drawing two pictures of that version XD). But then again, black and red also look really look good together and my friend also thinks the black version is good..
If you can, please help me out and give me your opinion! XD I found some fanart pictures for each version on photobucket to give you a better idea of the colors. Thanks so much guys! XD

Personally I prefer Black Akaito because there's more of a contrast between him and Kaito then XD and cause most of the Kaito siblings have white+colour schemes it gets kind of boring, you now? > u < Good luck!

Both are cool, I think I like the white one the most, and I think that is the most well-known, but the black are cool too, is like the "inverse-colored" version of Kaito (you know... White-Black, Blue-Red xD).
Definitely is hard to decide, I would go for the most comfortable, if you feel comfortable wearing white, then white, if black, then black, if both, then... MAKE A GRAY ONE!!

Oh I see what you mean by that. XD Black definitely sets him apart from the other Kaitos. XD Thanks so much for your input! ^^ I'll try my best to make a choice! XD

Wow, your right! The black is really like the inverse-version of Kaito's coat! XD I would actually be fine wearing either of them, XD so that's why it's such a hard choice to make. XDD I've also seen several gray toned versions for his coat too! XD (Too many versions! XD) But thanks so much for your opinion! I think I'm getting a better idea now of which to choose now. ^^

Hmm...Well I guess it depends you know? If you really want to make Akaito's personality show it might be better to choose black. And a lot of people probably dress up as 'white' akaito anyways right? I wouldn't know I don't cosplay and I don't know how much people dress up as white or black. But if you dress up as 'black' akaito wouldn't the design on his coat be a little different? Or is it just me?
(This isn't what you wanted to know but your choice of pictures to show were incredibly awesome XD)

well.. the black one kinda makes you look like.. mysterious and very boyish and dark like while the whiter one talks like the original look of akaito which make the personality of akaito comes out since it is the original look and mostly the most easiest to find but black makes you rare.. and it is the most opposite or ultimate opposite of kaito so maybe black is the thing you need :D but if you really want to be very unique make it both.. either:

sleeves: white
body: black

or

sleeves: black
body: white

or like what kagamine rin did on her meltdown song

right side: white
left side: black

or

just the opposite of that!

I prefer the white version, cause it makes a better contrast with his red. But the black version is nice too.

I think I'm more "bias" to white because when I first saw pics of Akaito, it was in the white coat. I wasn't even sure if black coat Akaito was the same character.

I prefer white. I dunno...I just really prefer red/black color combos over red/white XD
